Bill Taylor-Beales and Phil Okwedy are long standing singer-song writer and story- teller friends with a passion for weaving - song and words together to explore the human condition.
Celtic Darbar is a vibrant, family-friendly musical theatre production that brings together community performers, dancers from Ballet Cymru, local artists, and acclaimed musicians from London, led by Cardiff-based artist Amruta Garud (Ayan Cymru). Trained as an Indian classical vocalist, Amruta has developed a distinctive artistic practice that bridges cultures and genres, blending Indian classical and folk traditions with Welsh and Western musical forms a fusion audiences experience throughout the production.

When Rita, a married girl who works as a hairdresser, enrolls in a university course in order to broaden her horizons, she has no idea what the end of the journey will be.
Her cynical tutor, Frank, the frustrated poet, brilliant academic and committed drinker, is not very enthusiastic about taking Rita under his wing. But they both come to realize how much they have to learn from each other.
This funny and warm comedy will delight audiences throughout Wales.

Emma Winter, a bilingual singer-songwriter from Merthyr Tydfil and proud member of ‘Team Bronwen Lewis’ on the first series of Y Llais, brings her signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and song to the stage.
