Join us at Theatr Soar to celebrate St David’s Day in the company of some of Wales’ top folk talent!

AVANC represents the brightest, most dedicated and talented young people of our musical traditions from the upcoming generation. They specialise in unearthing forgotten musical gems from ancient manuscripts and dusty library vaults and re-working them in their own energetic image. Their powerful 11-piece line up, complete with triple harps, bagpipes and five clog dancers is a sight to behold! The group will be joined by dancers from the Wales Tamil Sangam.

Gwilym Bowen Rhys has established himself as a worthy ambassador for Welsh Language and song both at home in Wales and across the world, confirmed by his nomination for Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year Award and winning the Best Solo Artist Award in the Welsh Folk Awards.
